Who is DJ DEGREE?

Inspired by his cousin/producer Eric “Mo” in 1990 at the age of fourteen, Steve Saccente sought out to learn the art of Djing. Growing up in Brentwood, NY, home of many influential hip-hop artists, hip-hop was an important part of his life, and his turntables seemed to be the only way to express his new interest.

After many months of practice, Steve was dubbed DJ Degree by a friend after proving himself worthy at. The name stuck and for the next few years, Degree began making a name for himself by performing at local nite clubs. Upon entering the club scene, he met DJ’s Finesse, Slynke and Skribble. After performing with them at many renowned clubs nationwide, DJ Degree was offered a job as a tour DJ for gold rap/dance recording artist K7 in 1998, after DJ Finesse resigned from the group.

After be recognized by many different club promoters, while performing shows across the U.S. in many large venues with K7 and other artists as well, Degree was then added to the roster of popular NYC based booking agent Track Central Booking. With this, his career took off, and opportunities were endless. Because of his versatility and superb mixing ability, DJ Degree became increasingly popular in the club scene.

Degree holds a radio spot one night a week on a popular Long Island radio station Party 105.3.
